DOCTORAL STUDIES
One of the main research pillars of UNIWA is the organization of doctoral studies. These studies aim to create scientists capable of contributing to the advancement of science and to produce original, high-level scientific research.
Special emphasis is given to the publication/presentation of original scientific re-search papers in scientific journals and conferences. The doctoral programs provide prospective PhD students with specialization in the scientific fields covered by the University’s Departments.
The structure, organization, operation and evaluation of the UNIWA Doctoral Pro-grams, are governed by the legislation in force and under the provisions of Internal Regulations of the respective Departments.
The University’s Doctoral Programs (PhDs) lead to the acquisition of a PhD Diploma, which certifies the conduct, authoring and presentation of stand-alone original scientific research and reflects its essential contribution to science and knowledge.
