Rector and Vice Rectors

RECTOR AND VICE RECTORS

According to the arrangements of article 15 of National Law 4485/2017, Government Gazette 114 A’ “Organization and operation of higher education, research arrangements and other provisions” the Rector is a first rank faculty member (i.e., Full Professor) elected for a period of three years. Vice Rectors are also faculty first or second rank faculty members (i.e., Full or Associate Professor) elected for the same term of service. The decision appointing the Vice Rectors specifies the order in which they act in place of the Rector in case he or she is absent or unable for any reason to carry out the duties of the Rector. The number of Vice Rectors is determined by the Institution’s Regulations and Procedures.

There are four Vice Rector positions at UNIWA, the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, the Vice Rector for Finance, Planning and Development, the Vice Rector for Administrative Affairs, and the Vice Rector for Research and Lifelong Learning.
