The Ancient Grove Campus is located in the Municipality of Egaleo, on Str. P. Ralli and Thivon, inside the Ancient Grove area, where the famous “Walking School” of Plato as well as the St. John Church of was built in the eleventh century A.D. This church was the springboard of the “Hidden School” during the difficult years that followed the fall of Constantinople.
The Ancient Olive Grove Campus extends over a total area of 100,000 square meters, while the built-up area exceeds 50,000 square meters. A total of 8 buildings have been developed within the campus to meet all academic and administrative needs.
The educational activities are carried out in the classrooms and amphitheaters of the University campus. All the rooms are equipped with modern furniture, suitable for educational purposes and have modern technological & educational equipment (Video Projectors, Computers, and Internet). They are also well lit, ventilated and have central heating and air conditioning infrastructures.
Within the Ancient Olive Grove Campus, a modern Conference Center has been developed, covering a total area of 5,000 square meters and can accommodate up to 1,500 participants. It is a facility designed to meet international standards, combining high aesthetics and modern technology to organize high-demand events.
The library, located inside the campus, covers the cognitive, teaching and research needs of both academic staff and students. To meet these needs, the library has an extensive collection of books and journals, audiovisual material, as well as a large number of electronic journals and databases available through the Hellenic Academic Libraries Association (HEAL-Link). Both modern equipment and human resources meet the operational needs of a modern academic library. The library building extends over two floors and is accessible to people with disabilities, as it has ramps and specially designed spaces.
The library disposes of a large reading area, meeting rooms, an archive collection area, staff offices as well as a number of auxiliary spaces.
In the area of the Ancient Olive Grove Campus there is a large number of parking spaces available for the university staff, students and visitors.
The layout of the Campus of Ancient Olive Grove guarantees a high-level of service and facilities to students, while it creates a friendly atmosphere and promotes a sense of community.
In addition to the teaching and research areas, the Ancient Olive Grove Campus hosts a restaurant, a gym, health-care facilities, canteens and leisure spaces for students. All campus facilities are guarded by security personnel 24 hours a day.
